DO NOT use Cwmbran Ford or any Mon Motors garage for repairsBack in March my gearbox failed in my 11 month old Ranger and in the process of failing it destroyed the clutch. I had the Pickup recovered to Cwmbran Ford there they did not listen to my report about the transmission locking up jamming the clutch pedal and forcing the truck to judder to a halt mid traffic and i had to run to side of the road to avoid being hit.Cwmbran ford then charged me 1655.02 for a replacement clutch, flywheel etc and i went to collect the vehicle just before they closed. due to heavy traffic i made it three miles from the dealer before i needed third gear which i found was not there( obviously no test drive was conducted and the vehicle not safe for road use), i called them and was told to take it back on my next day off.After they test drove it Cwmbran Ford admitted there was an issue and booked it back in for a months time leaving me without a vehicle i could safely use. A month later i dropped the ranger back off and given a Mitsubishi L200 as a hire car, Two days later i called them as i had received no word to be told that yes the gearbox needed replacing under warranty and would take six weeks to arrive.Six weeks later i called back to find it would be another few months for a gearbox to arrive.Finally i have my truck back and with Cwmbran Ford still lying to Ford warranty about the misdiagnoses of my gearbox and blaming the clutch failing on me (even though gearbox failed at the same time) i am still left footing the bill.Cwmbran ford will not discuss this issue with the the staff regularly hang up the phone to me and i'm sure if i went there again they would get the police to remove me from there.i have no other choice to recover my money through the legal system, i have tried to be civil and keep this out of social media and the legal system but i am left with no choice.Please if you want a new Ford try Fordthorn in Cardiff, Tarnock Ford in Brean or a dealer in BristolBeen a Few weeks since this was posted and i have noticed cwmbran ford have not responded to this review and that of another customer who had given a bad review of the customer service and the dodgy repairs they conduct, they have responded to good reviews in the same time frame. Guessing they have no response to us and they will not answer or reply to me and still no offer of a refund, just waiting on payday to pay the small claims fees now as this month i had to take my ranger to cardiff for a service.Also applying to the rip off Britain TV show to spread the word further if they do not want to admit they made a mistake I hope make sure as many people avoid the place as possible.Still no reply to negative reviews? been almost a year now
I purchased a Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition (2014) from Cwmbran Ford in September.Sean Reed (Sales Manager) was professional, friendly & extremely helpful. He advised it would be best to pop to the dealership so we could discuss the part exchange. He was able to offer me a very fair price for my Ford Fiesta as a part exchange, which was a much fairer than Evans Halshaw Newport's embarrassing offer.He made the purchase very easy for me with no pressure to buy. He also added six months tax, provided a new MOT & a complimentary service which was an added bonus. The car has been brilliant and I've had no issues so far. Sean also mentioned the standard three month warranty and said I shouldn't hesitate to call him if I have any problems, which was very reassuring. The experience with Cwmbran Ford & Sean was 5-star. I'd highly recommend Cwmbran Ford to anyone looking for a car and it will be the first place I look for a new car in the future.

Recall work on Focus RS resulting in extensive damage to engine block. Person who was assigned to work on car should be ashamed to call himself a technician. Extensive remedial work carried out by independant Ford specialist at significant cost to Ford Cwmbran. Certain members of staff have poor customer service skills .No response to a bad review speaks volumes.
